DDD Radio Show Episode 128: Black Adam (2022)
Monday Mar 25, 2024
Monday Mar 25, 2024
Time Stamps: C.A.R (8:45), Black Adam (29:40)
Listening friends welcome to another packed episode!!! We start things of with a quick casual convo about Neon Genesis Evangelion as good host Ed went and saw The End of Evangelion in theaters. Then we start the show proper as we reviewed WWF: The Music Vol 5 (2001) as part of our Dwayne The Rock Johnson binge as this albums has "that pie song". And for the Main Event with our mini Dwayne The Rock Johnson marathon we decided to watch his last Box Office bomb Black Adam (2022). Now was this the worst Dwayne The Rock Johnson movie we have reviewed, no. But is this the best, no. But be ready for minutes as we joke about Dwayne The Rock Johnson neck or lack of one, and Pierce Bronson sleepy acting in this movie.
Rad show as always, enjoy friends~!

DDD Radio Show Episode 127: Doom (2005)
Monday Mar 18, 2024
Monday Mar 18, 2024
Time Stamps: C.A.R (17:45), Doom (39:33)
Listening friends welcome to another packed episode. We start the show with catching up as Ed tells us a little more of his life as a new Florida Man and James breaks down what it's like going to a college indie rock show as a resident rocker foo. Then we start the show proper as we review 1990s Brit Pop classic Oasis "(What's The Story) Morning Glory?" for this weeks Classic Album Review (I know we actually got this working, sawry if you want Hawt or Nawt that's not happening with this set up). And for the MAIN EVENT, we're still on our Dwayne "The Rock" Johnson binge as we watched box office flop from 2005 Doom! A movie loosely based of the video game (more like Doom 3). As we can state this movie was really dark (not in tone, as we can't see shit) and a lot of nothing happening. But fuck the ending of the movie is AWESOME!!!

DDD Radio Show Episode 126: The Scorpion King (2002)
Monday Mar 11, 2024
Monday Mar 11, 2024
Time Stamp: Scorpion King (24:00)
Hello listeners, crazy shit!!! We actually bumped out another episode in a timely matter. Well as you will discover we're going to do a Dwayne "The Rock" Johnson marathon leading up to Wrestlemania!!! Doing our best we start with the movie (that's not The Mummy Returns) that started it all for "The Rock" way into Hollywood, The Scorpion King (2002). A pretty fun kick back movie that you most likely caught watching on TNT on a Saturday afternoon during the summer on 2005. This movie got Dwayne Johnson and his big beefy pecs, Hawt Babes, Godsmack, and FIRE SWORDS!!! What more do you want?(unless you want quality story telling and deep character development then this not the movie for you, but you know that already)

We catch up on how Good Host Ed has become a Florida Man as they have moved 3000 miles away from the Triple D headquarters. But for a kickback show we have decided to watch AEW Revolution 2024 with Sting's retirement match. Spoiler alert (4 days after the showed aired) this PPV was awesome.

We roll into HAWT OR NAWT and for this week Mr. Hawtornawt is incognito again so we have contacted Sweet Tones Thomas to help fill in as he sent us the track "The Mountain" by the band Ok Goodnight featuring Elizabeth Hull on vocals, was this track HAWT OR NAWT?!?!?! Then it's the Classic Album Review (C.A.R) as this week we reviewed New Order's 1985 album "Low-Life". A new wave classic with a bunch of goth booty shaking bangers. And for the MAIN EVENT we watched and review 2005 Christmas SLASHER "Santa's Slay" featuring former WCW and WWE Champion Bill Goldberg. Listen as we breakdown this shlub of a film while trying to bring in some bleated Christmas cheer!!!

For the cold open good host Ed talks about wrapping up with school and good host James talks about his birthday and injuring himself at a punk show. Then we roll into HAWT or NAWT as for this week we decided to do something special (and not because Mr. Hawtornawt was on a flight to Texas) we have a sub in with Danger Dylon bringing us a SEA SHANTY song to see if we think it is HAWT OR NAWT?!?! Then for this weeks Classic Album Review we listen to BECK 1996 album "Odelay". One host has a fond connection with this album the other thought it was mid!!! And for this weeks MAIN EVENT we watched 1987 Troma meme classic of a film "Surf Nazis Must Die!!!". A terrible movie that one host has seen too many times and the other a first watch in disgust. Some "funny" moments and surf footage a plenty.

For Hawt or Nawt, Mr. Hawtornawt has a Halloween special of his own with "Halloweenie 2: Pumpkin Spice" chosen by newest Triple D cast member, Mrs. Mr. Hawtornawt. Did the streak continue???(James here, No cause this was a different person but thanks to Mrs. Mrhawtornawt for sending the track)
Then we roll into the C.A.R.(Classic Album Review) with Thelonius Monk "Brilliant Corners" (1957). A short and sweet jazzy boi that had your hosts vibin' and toe tappin', mostly.

Sunday Oct 29, 2023

Hello listening friends welcome back to another packed episode. For the cold open good host James complains about douchey show managers and good host Ed breaks some news that effect's this podcast. Then to start the show proper.....
HAWT OR NAWT:
- for this week Mr. Hawtornawt sent us a track by the artist DEAR-GOD "Weaponize This" a hardcore track (the techno kind not the fighty music kind)
- also Mr. Hawtornawt is in the middle of moving and is hating life
- was this song Hawt or Nawt?!?
Classic Album Review:
- for this week for the C.A.R we review "Palo Congo" by the artist Sabu from the year 1957
- one of the first recordings of the sounds of South America and is a classic because of that, but was it good? shit only one way to find out!
MAIN EVENT:
- and for your main event we reviewed the classic mockumentary from 1984 "This Is Spinal Tap"
- listen as we meme on all the jokes as we try to crank this review to eleven with all types of bad English accents
- this movie is a classic soooo come hang and listen as we bullshit about it.
Rad show as always, enjoy friends~!

DDD Radio Show Episode 120: Dark Side of the Ring s4 e10 Marty Jannetty (2023)
Thursday Sep 14, 2023
Thursday Sep 14, 2023
TIME STAMPS: Hawt or Nawt (14:00), C.A.R (29:53), MAIN EVENT (49:35)
Listening friends we're back with another good packed Pro Wrestling themed episode baybee. We kinda ramble about random shit for the cold open. But that means we sooner get into a very chaotic version of HAWT OR NAWT!!!
HAWT OR NAWT:
- for this week Mr. Hawtornawt sent us a track by casual Youtuber Brad Steele "Monday Night War"
- a song about the 90s Monday Night War of WWF vs WCW
- but what really draws in with this song, for Mr. Hawtornawt to keep his HAWT streak alive he has resorted to bribing the DDD radio crew but what is this BRIBE(it's not PG)? and is the track HAWT OR NAWT
Classic Album Review:
- for this week C.A.R. we listened and reviewed Santana "Abraxas" from 1970
- a chill Latin fusion rock album with some of Santana biggest hits
- listen as we breakdown our thoughts and experience listening to this classic
MAIN EVENT:
- for this weeks Main Event we watched Dark Side of the Ring's season 4 episode 10 about Marty Jannetty called "The World According to Marty Jannetty"
- listen to our disgust having to review one of the most annoying sociopathic person we've ever review and worst a total loser
- Jannetty has a saying G.A.T (GOD'S AMUSEMENT TOY)
- but around the end of the episode it takes a dark turn as possibly the former Rocker might have murdered a man?!?!?!
Rad show as always enjoy friends~!
Tuesday Sep 05, 2023
Tuesday Sep 05, 2023
TIME STAMPS: Hawt or Nawt (35:25), C.A.R (45:05), MAIN EVENT (1:05:05)
Listening friends we're back again!!! To start things off we catch up on what we have been up to since last podcast. Both Ed and James were down in LA on the same weekend. James played a trashy grind show and Ed saw METALLICA!!! But that's not all because right before this podcast the day prior you're hosts kicked back and saw Toxic Holocaust in our hometown. Listen as we give some inside baseball on how goofy the promoter is and how the sound man drop the fuggin ball during Toxic Holocaust. It's a long cold open so don't be shy on the time stamps if you wanna jump forward to any part of the show.
HAWT OR NAWT:
- for this weeks Hawt or Nawt Mr. Hawtornawt sends us a track by comedy indie duo Rose & Brooks "The Pipi Man"
- a tik tok darling of a track
- but listen as the format changes slightly as Mr. Hawtornawt sends a second voice clip trying to predict our reactions, and spoiler failing
C.A.R:
- for this weeks Classic Album Review as randomly picked out of the 1001 albums to listen, we landed on Arcade Fire 2004 album "Funeral"
- listen as one host got more out this album compared to the other as we bumble through this review as we're not Indie Heads at the core!!!
MAIN EVENT:
- for this week we're doing a one off as we reviewed an episode from the recent season of Dark Side of the Ring with their look into WCW Bash at the Beach 2000
- it's an episode full of high ego lads of Vince Russo and Eric Bischoff
- listen as we're just non stop on Vince Russo impersonations
- there is a reason WCW died as a company and this event just describes the landscape of ignorance and failure.
Rad show as always enjoy friends~!
